Christmas Mornings
by JOSEPH BRYANT (Italian Stallion)
Christmas mornings
The day you left me
But it wasn’t intended
To be that way
But you felt the need
To leave my side
And you needed room
To re-align
Through all my life
I’ve been with you
I asked myself
What happened to us
Why did this
Have to happen this way
Christmas day
Is full of joy
And now on this
Christmas morning
I sit alone
In disbelief
But you felt the need
To leave my side
And you needed room
To re-align
Christmas mornings
The day you left me
But it wasn’t intended
To be that way
I want to tell you
That I love you dear
And my hearts been with you
Through all the years
And through all my life
That I’ve been with you
I’ve been writing a story
To hand to you
Christmas mornings
The day I would have
Read this story
To you my love
Candlelit dinner for two
All dressed up
And down on one knee
That’s how the story was meant to be
